ABOUT

The Valley of Palm Springs Scottish Rite was Chartered on October 19, 1987. Its membership is currently approximately 160 Brethren.  It began as a club under the direction of the Valley of San Bernardino, accommodating the brethren that lived in the Coachella Valley.  On November 30,1978 50 Brethren met for the purpose of forming the Coachella Valley Scottish Rite Club.  They adopted by-laws, formulated plans for future meetings-including delicious refreshments (a tradition that continues nearly four decades later) and elected a full set of Officers.

In 1979 the Coachella Valley Club reached in first target of 88 members, with Wayne W. Allgood, 32° as the President. Eventually, the club grew and was able to become its own Valley, just like San Bernardino; yet never forgetting its San Bernardino roots. Membership peaked in the 1990's with 450 members.

Today, Palm Springs Scottish Rite still does degree work jointly with San Bernardino and the strong ties between these two Valleys is still evident at Installations and many other events.

The Valley of Palm Springs meets the Fourth Wednesday of the month with 6:00pm social, followed up with Dinner at 6:30pm and the Stated Meeting and Program at 7:00.
